Preventing tuberculosis is both possible and cost-effective, and the Global TB Caucus Library brings together the essential knowledge needed to make it happen. TB prevention depends on two core strategies: preventing exposure and identifying and treating people who have been exposed before they develop active disease. Rapid diagnosis, timely treatment, and reducing transmission risks in healthcare settings, workplaces, and other crowded environments are key to breaking the chain of infection.

The Global TB Caucus Library offers a series of concise, evidence-based briefings on the most pressing priorities in the TB response. Developed with guidance from an expert advisory panel of scientists, healthcare leaders, technical specialists and affected communities worldwide, each briefing outlines the latest insights and clear recommendations to overcome persistent barriers to ending TB.

This collection, including both a primer and a detailed briefing, was created in collaboration with the Global Parliamentary Platform on HIV/AIDS (GPP). Operated by a joint secretariat of Unite, the Global TB Caucus, and the Global Equality Caucus, the GPP unites parliamentary champions committed to advancing progress against HIV/AIDS and related global health challenges.
